Berlin-born artist Jeremias Christensen (1859-1908) created this sculpture using the lost wax process in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This statue also has adopted the name “Shepard boy with staff”.
This bronze is signed by Christensen and also has the foundry marking “Oskar Gladenbeck GmbH”.
Beautifully executed, this bronze with brown patina sculpture has made a lasting impression in the arts for many decades and stands the test of time, a true classic.
